Sothebys auction house shattered the sales records for a pair of sneakers onApril 11, 2023, when the Air Jordan XIII OG Bred [Black and Red], which were worn and signed by Michael Jordan, sold at $2,200,000.

Pairs of Nike Jordans were used to create Batmans boots in at least two of the superhero films: Nike Air Trainer IIs were worn in Batman (1989), and Air Jordan VIs in Batman Returns (1992).

Sneaker Politics teamed up with Saucony and New Orleans institution Caf du Monde on a sneaker design inspired by the caf’s famous beignets. The shoes were even sold in a special box that looks like the cafs beignet boxes, complete with cooking instructions on the back.
