First edition. Princess Kaela, youngest daughter of the King of Visin, refuses to marry the man her royal father has chosen and runs away. But the king is not so easily thwarted and sends a wizard to bring her back home. Hague’s full color wraparound d.w. illustration is particularly striking. This is Beth Hilgartner’s first novel and one of the earliest books illustrated by Michael Hague.
